Is the Scrum Master self-study right for you?

The Scrum Master self-study is ideal for anyone who wants to learn Scrum in a more flexible way than a traditional two-day classroom training. You can work through all the theory at your own pace and schedule, while the practice day gives you the opportunity to apply your knowledge, participate in exercises, and ask questions.

This makes the program especially suitable for:

  • (Aspiring) Scrum Masters who want to thoroughly prepare for their role

  • Professionals who prefer flexible learning but still want hands-on practice

  • Project and team leaders who want to apply Scrum within their organization

  • Managers and consultants who want to understand and facilitate Scrum in practice

Important: The self-study must be completed before the practice day. This ensures that everyone can actively participate and get the most out of the training.

Green Belt Summer Course

What will you learn in the Scrum Master self-study?

During this program, you will develop a complete understanding of the Scrum Master’s role and how to successfully apply Scrum in practice. The self-study provides the theoretical foundation, while the practice day allows you to actively experience how to facilitate and apply Scrum.

You will dive into topics such as:

  • The foundations of Agile and Scrum – understanding the framework, its roles, events, and artifacts, and how they work together to enable transparency and continuous improvement.

  • The coaching role of the Scrum Master – how to support teams, remove impediments, and foster a culture of collaboration and ownership.

  • Facilitating Scrum events such as Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives – with practical techniques for effective facilitation and team engagement.

  • Guiding teams and organizations in working together more effectively, responding faster to change, and delivering greater customer value.

  • Preparation for the Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) exam by Scrum.org – gaining the knowledge and skills to approach this internationally recognized certification with confidence.

By the end of the program, you will have both the knowledge and practical skills to guide Scrum teams in a professional and effective way.
